Job summary

Redline Group Ltd in Hatfield, Hertfordshire, invites applications for a Buyer to join an innovative engineering team. You will procure materials, components and services, manage suppliers and drive supply chain performance in a manufacturing environment.

You will raise purchase orders using MRP requirements, source new suppliers, negotiate pricing and terms, and monitor orders to ensure on-time delivery. Manufacturing/engineering experience is advantageous.

Qualifications

• Previous purchasing or supply chain experience.
• Experience working with MRP/ERP systems.
• Strong negotiation, communication and supplier management skills.
• PCBA/PCB experience.
• Good numerical and Excel skills.
• Proactive, organised and analytical approach to problem solving.
• Manufacturing or engineering experience would be advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of suppliers and raise purchase orders using MRP requirements.
• Source new suppliers and negotiate pricing, delivery and terms.
• Monitor and expedite purchase orders to ensure on-time delivery.
• Support engineering changes, new product introductions and ERP updates.
• Identify and manage supply chain risks and supplier disruptions.
• Drive cost savings, process improvements and competitive tendering.
• Work closely with Engineering, Production, Supply Chain and other internal teams.
• Monitor supplier performance and support KPI reporting.

A Buyer is sought to join an innovative engineering team in Hatfield, Hertfordshire, contributing to the procurement of materials, components and services within a manufacturing environment.

The Buyer, Hatfield, Hertfordshire, will manage suppliers, purchasing activities and supply chain requirements, helping to maintain stock levels, reduce risk and drive commercial improvements.

Responsibilities include:

• Manage a portfolio of suppliers and raise purchase orders using MRP requirements
