Key Responsibilities

1. Purchasing: You will purchase a variety of materials and fabricated parts as part of a project-driven manufacturing business. This includes stainless steel, plastics, fabricated parts, and electronics.
2. Procurement Management: Process and issue purchase orders in accordance with company policies, ensuring accuracy and compliance within required timeframes.
3. Supplier Coordination: Monitor supplier performance, expedite orders as necessary, and resolve any supply chain disruptions to ensure continuity.
4. Project Support: Lead and support supply chain projects focused on cost reduction, supplier development, and process improvements.
5. Facilities Procurement: Oversee the purchasing of goods and services for facilities management, ensuring cost-effectiveness and quality service.
6. Logistics Management: Arrange and manage purchase orders for logistics and transportation, coordinating with partners to optimise costs and delivery schedules.

Requirements:

1. Proven experience within Purchasing / Procurement / Supply Chain for a Manufacturing or Engineering business.
2. CIPS qualified or equivalent qualifications.
3. Experience purchasing fabrication commodities / categories desirable.
4. Knowledge of ISO standards is desirable - ISO 9001, ISO 14001.
5. Strong ERP / MRP systems experience.

Location - Stockport
Salary - circa 32k - 38k (dependent on experience).

Permanent - Hybrid working - Mon-Fri (earlier finish Fri).
