Job summary

A successful Engineering and Manufacturing firm is seeking a Buyer to enhance their procurement team. The role involves building supplier relationships, supporting procurement functions, and ensuring material availability. Ideal candidates need experience in buying and ERP systems, as well as holding or pursuing a Level 4 CIPS qualification. This position is located in Diss, England.

Qualifications

• Experience in a Buyer / Procurement role.
• Experience with indirect purchasing is preferable.
• Experience with ERP systems in a manufacturing environment is an advantage.

I am pleased to be working with a successful Engineering, Manufacturing business looking to recruit a Buyer to join their team.

The Buyer will be reporting to the Procurement Manager and the role will include the following responsibilities:

• Develop robust relationships with suppliers.
• Provide Procurement support to the site.
• Work collaboratively with other departments to ensure stock and material availability.
• Maintain and update the ERP system.
• Work closely with Goods-In and suppliers to highlight and resolve non-conformances.

The ideal candidate will have experience within a Buyer / Procurement role, ideally with experience in indirect purchasing. Experience with ERP systems within a manufacturing business is advantageous. Ideally, you will hold Level 4 CIPS qualification (or be working towards it) or have equivalent experience.
