We are delighted to be working with a global leader in the food manufacturing industry.

Due to rapid growth and expansion, our client is looking to employ a Buyer to work at their site based in Sandy, Bedfordshire.

The main duties of the Buyer will include:
  • Negotiating prices and discounts
  • Placing and chasing purchase orders for the business including raw materials and electrical control gear
  • Making sure stock is maintained at an appropriate level
  • Ensuring the equipment is delivered on time, keeping up to date regarding the status of manufacturing projects
  • Working to budgets given
  • General administration work
  • Reviewing the short allocations report

Key Skills and Relevant Experience:
  • Experience within a similar role, ideally within manufacturing
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Time management skills
  • Good admin skills
  • Excellent customer service
  • Previous experience of managing an ERP/MRP system
  • CIPS qualification preferred, but not essential
