An established manufacturing business near Belfast is seeking an experienced Buyer to join their Purchasing team. The Buyer will be responsible for sourcing suppliers, drafting contracts, and achieving cost reduction targets. Candidates should possess strong IT skills, relevant purchasing experience, and ideally a degree in Business or Engineering.

Our client is a well established manufacturing business based in the outskirts of Belfast (South), and are currently on the marker for an experienced Buyer to join their Purchasing team.
Responsibilities:
· Source suitable suppliers, negotiating acceptable terms.
· Draft tender documents, supply agreements and purchase orders.
· Seek out methods of cost reduction in order to attain cost reduction targets.
· Monitor and evaluate suppliers in terms of cost, quality and delivery on an on-going basis.
· Continuously benchmarking consumables across suppliers.
Criteria :
· A minimum of two A-Levels grade C or above (or equivalent) OR alternatively 5 years relevant experience
· Studying for CIPS OR prepared to study for CIPS
· 2 years purchasing experience.
· Strong IT and data analysis skills.
· A degree qualification in Business or Engineering
· Knowledge of ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) systems
· Previous contract management experience
Salary is up to £38k depending upon experience. Benefits include pension, excellent holidays and an early Friday finish.
