Henderson Group in Newtownabbey is hiring a Butchery Assistant to join their Retail Butchery team. The role is full-time, 42.5 hours per week, with flexibility and shift pattern discussion at interview.

You will cut and prepare meat to standards, maintain hygiene, provide excellent counter service, and support display preparation. Accredited learning and progression within Henderson Retail Butchery operations are available.

Formación

• Must be 18 years or over.
• Previous retail or customer-facing experience.
• Experience in meat/poultry service environment is preferred.
• Willing to learn and progress within Henderson Retail Butchery.

Rate of pay ranging from £12.89 - £13.45 per hour depending on age and great benefits.

Full-time position at 42.5 hours per week, working within the hours of Monday to Saturday, with a degree of flexibility required.

A look into the role:

At Henderson Retail, we have recently expanded our company‑owned butchery operations, and have exciting plans for future growth. As a Butchery Assistant, you will have the opportunity to undertake an accredited learning programme (subject to eligibility criteria) and develop your skills for potential future progression within Henderson Retail Butchery operations. You’ll join our friendly team to deliver first class customer service, quality & presentation at the butchery counter, maintain great hygiene standards prepare a range of pre‑ packed products and preparing meat for display following company standards.

Duties of the role will include:

• Cutting and preparing meat products to pre‑set standards.
• Ensuring that all hygiene and cleanliness procedures are followed at all times.
• Providing and excellent counter service to our customers- listening to their needs and providing expert advice on our products.
• Great training will also be provided, and there’ll be opportunities to progress your career within our Butchery Concessions as you develop your skills.

Skills for Success

• We are looking for team members with personality, passion, energy and a positive attitude, who know how to make our customers smile and provide the very best experience.
• Due to the safety requirements within a butchery counter, candidates must be aged 18 years or above.
• Previous retail experience or experience working within a customer facing role
• Previous experience working within a meat/ poultry service environment.

Working Hours
