Job summary

Travel Trade Recruitment in Birmingham is seeking a Business Travel Consultant to join a reputable independent provider of corporate travel and sports tours. You will handle end-to-end business travel, including flights, hotels, car hire, and events, for sporting bodies and other clients.

The role operates Monday–Friday, 08:00–16:30 or 09:00–17:30, in an office in North Birmingham (Fridays from home). Salary is circa £30k depending on experience, with external training and development

Qualifications

• GDS Sabre trained, or cross-trained from Galileo or Amadeus.
• Experience in corporate travel or sports tours environment.
• Passionate about delivering excellent service and going the extra mile.

Responsibilities

• Take enquiries by phone and email for business travel arrangements.
• Work on key accounts, largely sporting bodies, handling events.
• Book flights, hotels, car hire, rail and transfers.
• Use Sabre to make reservations.
• Provide excellent customer service and build client rapport.
• Execute duties per client service level agreements.

DETAILED JOB DESCRIPTION

Working Monday to Friday, 0800-1630 or 0900-1730, this an office based role in North Birmingham (Fridays from home)

• Taking enquiries over the phone and also via e-mail regarding business travel arrangements
• Working on a key accounts, largely sporting bodies and dealing with some events
• Booking a wide variety of business travel requirements including flights, hotel, car hire, rail, transfers etc
• Utilising CRS Sabre to make reservations
• Offering excellent customer service, building a rapport with the clients
• Executing duties according to the service level agreements for each client

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

The successful candidate will ideally be GDS Sabre trained, (or they can cross-train from Galileo or Amadeus),with experience from a corporate travel or sports tours environment. You will be passionate about offering excellent service and going the extra mile.
