This is an exciting opportunity to implement an ambitious and comprehensive business transformation programme within a small business, and would suit someone with a background in business, engineering or manufacturing. The successful candidate will demonstrate the desire to learn and apply appropriate forms of improvement and change tools across a variety of business/management areas that will address the complex challenges of a whole business transformation process. There is excellent opportunity for professional development provided by leaders in their fields and application of theory in a variety of contemporary business management concepts. They will work closely with senior leaders of a forward-looking and successful business and play an important role in bridging the gap between academia and industry.

You’d be working for Data Image Group Ltd (DIG), an industry leader in the design and manufacturer of print, luxury retail display, event and exhibition stand creation. Trusted by global brands, for 30 years DIG have been leading the way in sustainable manufacturing of retail, leisure and hospitality print display. We strive to challenge the status quo in print and display industry and provide a forward thinking approach with a focus on sustainability whilst providing outstanding personal service.

The impetus for this Knowledge Transfer Partnership (KTP) between DIG and the University of Warwick follows on from previous successful collaborations and reflects DIG’s ongoing investment in knowledge-led development. This KTP aims to transform DIG into a professionally managed, innovative, efficient and sustainable business.

About You

Primarily based at Data Image Group’s premises in Narborough, you will be leading delivery of this transformation programme and a multi-disciplinary team of senior business leaders, shop floor staff and academic researchers. You will be able to learn new concepts and have the ability to embed the new knowledge into the business through facilitating workshops, training activities, paired working, and a number of other methods.

Qualifications Required

  • You will need to hold a first degree (minimum 2:2) in engineering, manufacturing, or business with operations management
  • A master-level degree in business, management or equivalent would be desirable

Skills And Experience

  • Interested in working with different business functions, as well as production operations
  • Analytical thinker, quick learner, skilled at research and analysis of information from a variety of sources
  • Demonstrable evidence of project management experience and strong leadership, with ability to drive change, work proactively and independently
  • Good teamworking skills. Communication skills for workshop facilitation, delivering presentations, and training
  • Ability to engage at all levels of business from senior management to production staff
  • 1+ years’ experience of working in a manufacturing or industrial environment would be desirable
  • A candidate Interested in a career in management consulting/business advisory would be desirable
