About the Role:
- Deliver engaging and challenging Business lessons across Key Stages 4 and 5, following relevant examination specifications.
- Plan and prepare high-quality lessons that cater to a variety of learning styles and abilities, ensuring all students are challenged and supported in their understanding of business principles.
- Utilize a range of teaching methods and resources, including case studies, simulations, guest speakers, and digital tools, to enhance student learning.
- Assess student progress, provide constructive feedback, and support individual learning journeys, fostering a deep understanding of business concepts and skills.
- Prepare students for GCSE and A-Level Business examinations, ensuring they have a strong understanding of assessment criteria and business methodologies.
- Contribute to the development of the Business curriculum and resources, integrating current business trends and entrepreneurial initiatives.
- Foster a love of business in students, encouraging them to develop their analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills, and to appreciate the dynamics of the business world.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to create a cohesive and supportive learning environment, and to contribute to the wider academic and extracurricular life of the school.
- Organize and lead business-related activities, such as enterprise challenges and visits to local businesses, promoting practical application of business skills.
Ideal Candidate:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
- Strong subject knowledge in Business, including business theory, economics, and entrepreneurship.
- Demonstrated ability to teach Business across Key Stages 4 and 5, including A-Level.
- Experience in preparing students for GCSE and A-Level Business examinations.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and analytical skills.
- Ability to inspire and motivate students of all abilities.
- A passion for business and a commitment to fostering entrepreneurial spirit.
- Ability to organize and lead business-related activities.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
