Business Tax Manager

Job Description

  1. Manage and coordinate the provision of tax compliance services for a portfolio of clients.
  2. Assist in planning and advisory work for clients, as required.
  3. Control WIP on allocated jobs, including billing and debt collection.
  4. Build and maintain good relationships with clients and colleagues within the firm.
  5. Assist in allocating compliance and other work to junior staff, ensuring effective deployment.
  6. Provide guidance and support to junior staff in consultancy and compliance work.
  7. Participate in recruitment, staff appraisal, feedback, and development.
  8. Develop and maintain areas of specialisation as agreed with partners.
  9. Prepare and assist in external/internal presentations and training courses.
  10. Prepare technical materials such as factsheets and articles.
  11. Assist partners with project and consultancy work.
  12. Support marketing initiatives, including preparing factsheets and tendering.
  13. Keep abreast of UK taxation and relevant developments.

Candidate Attributes

  • Qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA / CIMA or equivalent) or equivalent professional experience.
  • CTA qualification is desirable.
  • Proficient in MS Office and relevant computer applications.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
