Business Systems Software Developer – Technology – Stoke-on-Trent

As a Software Developer, you will utilise your knowledge of both backend and frontend systems to develop high quality, scalable and innovative cloud-based applications.

The Business Systems Solutions department leverages innovative technologies to deliver both bespoke and third-party solutions that support our Business operations. You will join a collaborative and forward-thinking team, where technical expertise is valued and career progression is supported.

Working as a full stack developer, you will play a key role in designing, developing, and maintaining robust Business systems and applications. You will be responsible for writing high-quality code that meets requirements, supporting and upgrading existing applications, and ensuring comprehensive documentation is maintained.

This role is eligible for inclusion in the Company\'s hybrid working from home policy.

Responsibilities

• Developing efficient, robust, and scalable code for new and existing applications and services.
• Designing, testing, and implementing new solutions in line with departmental standards.
• Maintaining and improving existing systems, ensuring high availability and low latency.
• Creating and updating technical documentation for application coding and project development.
• Communicating technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical colleagues.
• Collaborating effectively within the team and with senior management.
