We have an exciting opportunity for a Business Systems Manager, which incorporates the Product Owner / Manager responsibilities for leading the Project Controls Office technical team. You will work to define and implement a desirable, feasible, practical, and sustainable Project Controls and Planning solution concerning SAP, P6, and Dassian for Electronics UK.
You will also interface on a technical basis across all functions and leadership levels involved in the Business Unit and project team structures to ensure optimal overall system performance and strategy. The Project Controls solution will consider the needs of functions, scheduling and forward load planning, prioritization, and partner coordination, underpinning project and business performance reporting.
The role is a mixture of home-based and onsite work (UK-wide team, so this can be at your local Leonardo site).
- Provide subject matter expertise across the business for Planning, Scheduling, and Project Controls.
- Make impactful recommendations to increase effectiveness and improve ways of working.
- Use specialist knowledge to generate insights, new ideas, and approaches for system and performance improvements.
- Define and develop the Project Controls Product Roadmap.
- Utilize knowledge of external best practices and current developments in planning, scheduling, schedule risk, and project controls to identify risks and opportunities.
- Manage, motivate, and develop the project controls office technical team to contribute to services and business objectives.
- Lead, coach, and develop others, influencing deployment of solutions across the business.
- Resolve complex relationship and functional issues.
- Maintain and develop professional knowledge and networks.
- Manage relationships with internal and external stakeholders and suppliers.
- Develop KPIs, metrics, and measures to inform decisions on schedule and project performance.
- Apply extensive knowledge of Project Management, Scheduling/Planning, and Control techniques.
- Understand technical complexities and facilitate trade-offs between process change and IT solutions.
- Proven change management skills, especially dealing with uncertainty.
- Proactive problem-solving to ensure system performance.
- Lead and motivate a multidisciplinary team to deliver results.
- Communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
- Apply best practices from various industries to planning and scheduling.
- Collaborate and influence stakeholders across levels.
- Possess commercial and financial acumen, with negotiation skills for third-party support.
- Experience in similar roles during early solution implementation phases.
