Job summary

Spectrum IT is recruiting a Business Systems and Automation Analyst for a growing London-based consultancy. This early-career role focuses on improving internal systems, automating manual processes and introducing new workplace technology.

The role is based in central London and initially requires 2-3 days per week in the office. You will work with Microsoft 365, SharePoint Online, Power Automate and AI tools to streamline workflows, configure SaaS integrations and develop templates and VBA

Job description

We are recruiting a Business Systems and Automation Analyst for a growing London-based business management consultancy. This is an early-career role focused on improving internal systems, automating manual processes and introducing new workplace technology.

It would suit someone with 1-3 years' experience in IT, applications or business systems. Applications are also welcome from technically strong graduates who have gained relevant practical experience through a placement year, internship or substantial projects.

The role

• Develop and improve the SharePoint Online intranet.
• Build workflows and process automations using Power Automate.
• Work with Microsoft Copilot, AI tools and Copilot agents.
• Identify manual business processes that can be automated.
• Help evaluate, configure and integrate SaaS applications.
• Create and improve Word and Excel templates, macros and VBA automation.
• Manage users, permissions and access across business applications.
• Work with external IT providers and software suppliers.

What you'll need

• Practical experience with Microsoft 365.
• Exposure to SharePoint Online, Power Automate or similar automation tools.
• An understanding of how business processes can be improved through technology.
• The ability to investigate technical problems and learn new systems.
• Clear communication skills and the confidence to work with non-technical colleagues.

Experience with Copilot, AI tools, Excel, VBA, SaaS integrations or application administration would be useful but is not essential.

You might currently work in IT support, application support, Microsoft 365 administration or business systems and want to move into a more project and automation-focused position. Alternatively, you may be a Computer Science, IT or technology graduate with relevant placement experience.

The role is based in central London (WC1) and initially requires 2-3 days per week in the office. Greater flexibility is expected as you become established in the position.
