Job summary

Stockton-on-Tees Borough Council is looking for a Business Support Supervisor to join the Housing Investment and Migration Support Team on a 24-month contract. Look no further! We have a fantastic opportunity for a Business Support Supervisor, to join the Housing Investment and Migration Support Team on a Fixed Term Contract for 24 months.



The role involves working in a challenging and busy frontline service, in relation to the provision of major adaptations and essential property repairs. This is a crucial role benefiting many vulnerable residents within the borough, helping them to remain living independently within their home or aiding hospital discharge.



This role is crucial in supporting the delivery of the service and will include managing a small team of Support Officers and ensuring that Disabled Facilities Grants and Home Improvement Loans are administered efficiently without delay.



A crucial part of the role is to ensure that databases and software programmes are fully up to date with the most recent information so accurate data can be provided to residents and contractors at any time. It would be the post holder’s responsibility monitor, manage, obtain and maintain the relevant and necessary information required.



All you need to be a success is:

  • Meticulous attention to detail

  • Organised

  • Good communication and problem-solving skills

  • Previous experience of managing staff or the desire to manage staff

  • Experience or knowledge on adaptations or the desire to enter this area of work.

  • The ability to work effectively as part of a team and with internal and external contractors and engage with vulnerable residents within the Borough
