Job description

We have an exciting opportunity for a passionate individual to become a valued member of our dynamic team within the UK Support Function (UKSF).

Dynamic (hybrid) working: 3days per week on-site due to workload classification

Security Clearance: British Citizen or a Dual UK national with British citizenship. Restrictions and/or limitations relating to nationality and/or rights to work may apply. As a minimum and after offer stage, all successful candidates will need to undergo HMG Basic Personnel Security Standard checks (BPSS), which are managed by the MBDA Personnel Security Team.

The opportunity:

Working as a Business Support Officer (BSO) alongside the Portfolio team based at Bristol, you will provide administrative and operational support to the Portfolio Management Team as detailed below, but not limited to:

The Role - specific requirements

Interaction with MBDA key Customers and Stakeholders to include the Ministry of Defence (MoD)

Provide facilitation of our Joint Working area at Bristol site and being a central point of contact for onsite visitors

To monitor and maintain the access control process and identify any improvements

To provide pro-active, accurate and comprehensive administrative support to the Senior Management team members to include, but not limited to:

To manage complex diaries, extensive travel arrangements and expenses

To organising meetings, events, training days and participate when required and take and manage actions

Create and maintain MS Excel spreadsheets, PowerPoint presentations, MS One Note and MS Word documents accurately

Understanding and utilising MS Office and MBDA systems

These tasks may be varied and ad-hoc in scope

Experience in a similar Business Support role; managing complex diaries, organising meetings, events and travel arrangements

Participation in UK Support Function initiatives and personal development initiatives

Someone who can exhibit a high level of resilience, communication, organisation skills and attention to detail, which is key to success in this role

Someone who is forward thinking, who looks to improve efficiencies in working practices and processes

Ability to prioritise, multi-task and manage your own workload effectively

Someone who is an enthusiastic team player

Willingness to learn and extend the role above and beyond the job description

To develop to become the knowledge point of contact within the team.
