About the job

Short summary: Working at the heart of the Government Property Agency, you will be exposed to decision-making from senior leaders across the GPA Workplace Services Delivery. The role involves high responsibility and offers a chance to understand property management in an evolving department. You will independently support the Deputy Director/Senior Leadership Team, handle confidential information, and communicate effectively with stakeholders, including senior civil servants and property professionals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide professional business management support, manage workflows, and maintain business plans.
  • Anticipate business needs and analyze issues to implement or recommend solutions.
  • Coordinate responses to corporate reports, ensuring quality and timeliness.
  • Organize meetings, logistics, and prepare materials, including acting as a Secretariat for Senior Leadership meetings.
  • Manage the Deputy Director's diary and ensure they are prepared for engagements.
  • Build relationships across directorates and stakeholders, demonstrating excellent interpersonal skills.

Person Specification:

  • Experience in business management, including supporting meetings and planning.
  • Ability to quickly learn business priorities and information management.
  • Work independently in a fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines.
  • Confident in managing upwards and communicating effectively.
  • Able to work effectively with staff at all levels, including senior officials.
