Moorlands Primary School is a friendly and popular school. We are seeking to appoint a Business Support Officer for 30 hours per week to join an established and dedicated team providing the highest standards of administrative support to the school, starting as soon as possible. You must be highly motivated and enthusiastic with a caring approach towards children.

This is an opportunity to work in a wonderful school, joining a friendly, hardworking team of professionals, working in partnership with our supportive families and dedicated governing body who are committed to ensuring that all children’s needs are met. The job involves a variety of administrative and secretarial duties. Training will be provided, if necessary.

You should have the ability to use a variety of software packages together with a Business & Administration NVQ 2, or an equivalent qualification or be able to demonstrate equivalent skills. The role involves meeting and greeting parents and visitors to school, so a high level of customer care is essential. We are looking for someone who is supportive of our school values: resilience, positivity, respect, kindness, making good choices.

The successful candidate must be able to work effectively and efficiently with a variety of professionals across our large primary school as part of the administration team.

Key responsibility areas are:

  • all aspects of school specific administration
  • other business support, including stock ordering and control (lifting and handling involved)
  • general duties which may be required to fulfil the role

We are seeking to appoint a friendly, confident and approachable individual to :

  • provide a warm and efficient reception to all
  • provide a wide range of administrative support for all pupils, parents, staff and visitors
  • skilled in the use of multiple IT packages and systems to deliver high quality administrative support
  • maintain accurate records and filing systems

Previous experience of working within school administration is desirable, but not essential.
