Your company

Due to the partnership between Hays and Birmingham City Council, we are looking to recruit a Business Support Officer to join the Children and Families Directorate.

Your role

In this role, you will be responsible for managing cases for children who are missing education due to medical reasons or exclusions.

You will also conduct minute-taking during meetings held regularly. Additionally, managing the inbox to handle all queries promptly is essential.

What you'll need to succeed

Experience working in a busy administrative environment with the ability to prioritize workload. Excellent interpersonal, communication, empathy, listening, and patience skills. Comfort with taking minutes during meetings. Previous experience in a local authority is desirable. Work abroad experience is a plus.

Note: This role requires an ASAP start, and you must pass reference and compliance checks before starting. Please have your two most recent employment details ready for reference checks.
