Your new company
It is a leading charity with offices across Northern Ireland and the UK. Hays has been appointed by this client to recruit a Business Support Officer to join their team in Derry City. This is an office-based position, initially for 6 months with a possible extension or permanent position. You will work 30 hours per week.

Your new role
As Business Support Officer, you will provide a range of administrative and front of house services, including:- organizing business meetings, notifying participants, arranging refreshments, preparing agendas, and minuting meetings. Handling written, verbal, and electronic correspondence. Producing presentations, reports, and financial documents for management. Ensuring the quality, accuracy, and timeliness of data input. Maintaining up-to-date and accurate records of financial transactions through data entry and retrieval from information systems, including payment of invoices, purchase orders, petty cash, card readers, online payments, and P-cards. Providing a professional front of house service to internal and external visitors, ensuring a welcoming and professional experience that reflects the brand and values.

What you'll need to succeed
You should have a Business Administration NVQ Level 2 or equivalent qualification, or relevant work experience. Proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite is essential. Excellent communication skills and confidence in liaising with internal and external customers via verbal and written communication are required. Attention to detail and a willingness to learn new processes and demonstrate good practice to others are essential. Experience in providing a confidential, professional service and working flexibly within a team environment is also necessary.
