Overview

We are working closely alongside a Local Authority in Wirral to assist with the appointment of a Business Support Officer, on a 3-month contract, highly likely to be extended at client’s discretion. Please apply with your CV for immediate consideration.

Rate of Pay

Rate of Pay: £12.21 - £15.54 per hour

Summary

The Business Support Officer provides essential administrative and operational support to the Children\'s Services team. This role ensures the effective functioning of office processes, contributes to service development, and facilitates accurate communication and coordination with both internal teams and external partners. The postholder plays a critical role in helping deliver high-quality support that directly impacts children, young people, and their families.

Responsibilities
  • Deliver a wide range of admin and reception duties including data entry, filing, photocopying, and managing diaries.
  • Handle the maintenance and ordering of goods and services, booking transport, processing fees, and managing petty cash and invoices.
  • Serve as the first point of contact for enquiries from staff, partners, and service users.
  • Provide guidance on administrative processes to both internal teams and external agencies.
  • Assist in generating management information and statistical reports from databases.
Qualifications
  • GCSE-level Literacy and Numeracy or equivalent experience.
Experience
  • Experience in administrative support or business administration roles.
  • Familiarity with handling and reporting on data/information systems.
