Business Support Officer Trafford Music Service

Location The Claremont Centre, Claremont Road, Sale, M33 7DZ
This is an office-based post with the option to work from home one day per week. This is a flexible arrangement and may need to be changed dependent on service demand.

Salary range Band 3 £12,591 - £13,634 pro rata for 18.125 hours per week

Trafford Music Service office is open Monday Friday from 8.30am up to 8.30pm and Saturday 8.45am 12.30pm. Evenings are covered on rotation of the Business Support Team. The successful candidate will be required to work Tuesday 9:00am - 5:00pm, Friday 12:00pm - 8:00pm, Saturday 9:00am - 12:45pm

Outside of school term times, the Music Service operates reduced office opening hours 8.30am - 4.30pm Monday Friday. During the school holidays the hours will be condensed into the week and can be worked between the hours of 8am and 5pm. This means that over the school holidays, evening hours may be worked elsewhere in the week.

Additional working requirements
All members of the Music Service Business Support Team are required to work 3 weekends per year on either a Saturday or Sunday to support concerts.

About the Role
Trafford Music Service is a Council service providing instrumental music lessons and ensemble opportunities for children in Trafford both in schools and at our Music Centre in Sale. We have a diverse range of music education provision which offers an exciting and dynamic work environment. We have a motivated, dedicated and friendly staff team.

We are looking to recruit an experienced administrator who will be responsible for supporting all administrative aspects of the Music Service, ensuring efficient and effective day to day services.

About you
The successful candidate will have:
Extensive experience of working in a fast paced, customer focused environment, and a good working knowledge and experience of using IT systems including Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel.
Strong communication, interpersonal and relationship skills.
Excellent customer service skills and ability to communicate effectively with a broad range of clients including school children.
Experience in data input and data protection awareness.
An interest in music in education, the community and young people would be an advantage.
Able to multi-task and work under pressure
Commitment, flexibility and enthusiasm
