Job description

Business & Executive Support Team provides a centrally led business support administrative function aligned with the requirements of Staffordshire County Council, fulfilling the evolving needs of the organization.

This exciting position is within the Health Care & Events Team. Currently, this staffing team supports multiple service areas across the organization, with a core link to Adult Social Care & Health and Corporate Events and Training.

Main Responsibilities
  1. Providing support and assistance to managers across various Health Care & Corporate Training Services.
  2. Servicing and supporting a range of events for internal and multi-agency stakeholders.
  3. Accurately inputting and maintaining internal systems, including client-based information systems, training software, and daily use of MS Office 365 packages.
  4. Completing a variety of administrative and customer care tasks, ensuring compliance with business processes and Service Level Agreements.
  5. Maintaining the Service Inbox, dealing with queries, signposting, and taking appropriate actions.
  6. Liaising with internal and external customers, developing good working relationships and engagement.
The Ideal Candidate

The role requires flexibility to support the wider Business and Executive Support Service when needed to meet priority demands and will enable you to develop your skills through various work opportunities across the service.

We are looking for you to have:

  • Administrative skills and experience to support a high-quality Business Support service for Staffordshire County Council.
  • The ability to take accurate and concise minutes for multi-agency meetings.
  • Excellent communication skills to engage with internal and external customers and administration teams, sharing best practices and using digital solutions to improve processes.
  • The ability to work in a fast-paced, busy environment and adapt to changes at short notice.
  • Good IT skills, including knowledge of MS 365 software.
  • Experience in complying with relevant Information, Privacy, and Data Security policies.
