Join a dedicated team as a Business Support Officer within Warwickshire's Adult and Community Learning Team. This role offers the opportunity to support learners from initial enquiries to exam invigilation while promoting a positive and inclusive environment. Enjoy competitive benefits and flexible working opportunities.
We have an exciting opportunity for a Business Support Officer within the Adult and Community Learning Team, based at the Pound Lane Learning Centre in Leamington. The post is 30hrs per week, Tuesday to Friday: working 8.30 - 5pm Tues, 8.30 - 4.30pm Wed/Thurs and 8.30 - 4pm on Fridays. The role will also cover a Tuesday evening (10.30 – 7pm) once every four weeks during term time from September. We are looking for individuals who can work in a busy team where deadlines are crucial. You need to have good organisational skills and attention to detail to ensure enquiries and enrolments are processed consistently, and have the ability to maintain confidentiality, complying with data protection requirements.
Adult and Community Learning offer courses for adults and families across the county. Whether learners wish to develop skills and qualifications for employment or everyday life, support children’s education, pursue an interest, gain confidence or just meet new people in a friendly and welcoming atmosphere, the Business Support team are there to help learners at every stage of their journey, from initial enquiries and enrolment to administering and invigilating exams. As part of the invigilation team, there may be occasions where you would be required to travel to other teaching venues to help invigilate exams.
You will be a part of the small friendly team based at reception during term time, so you will need to be confident interacting with a wide range of learners, staff and visitors, as well as managing the ACL Service’s administration requirements. There may be the opportunity to work from home during non-term-time periods (business needs permitting).
You will work proactively, always looking for ways of improving how we work and contributing to the outcomes of the service you are supporting, as well as the outcomes of the Business Support Service.
