Job Title: Business Support Officer

Pay Rate: £17 per hour
Contract: Temporary (14th April 2025 - 6th February 2026)
Hours: Full-time (36 hours per week)

We are looking for a Business Support Officer to join the London Borough of Sutton's Social Care Support Team. You will play a key role in delivering administrative support for Adults and Children's Social Care, ensuring smooth and effective operations.
This is a hybrid role, primarily remote, with attendance at the Civic Offices at least once a week (or more when required).
Organising and minuting safeguarding meetings in line with Sutton's Child and Adult Protection Procedures.
Coordinating statutory and complex meetings, ensuring deadlines are met.
Handling Subject Access Requests, social care complaints, and recruitment support.
Processing referrals, applications, correspondence, emails, and phone calls.
Maintaining accurate data records and ensuring compliance with data protection and confidentiality regulations.
Managing client relationships and providing excellent customer service.
Contributing to service improvement initiatives.
Proven experience in business support or administrative roles, preferably in a social care setting.
Strong minute-taking skills for complex safeguarding meetings.
Typing speed of 50+ WPM.
Proficiency in using IT systems and databases to manage workflows.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and prioritise workload.
Knowledge of data protection, confidentiality, and information governance.
Competitive pay of £17 per hour.
