A regional healthcare service provider in Manchester is seeking an Area Business Manager to support the leadership team in delivering emergency and non-emergency services. The ideal candidate will manage projects, prepare reports, and ensure performance management within designated areas. Essential experience includes business management, finance, and NHS governance. This role requires working with minimal supervision while fostering a culture of collaboration.
An exciting opportunity has arisen to work as an Area Business Manager across NWAS. The role will be an integral part of the Service Delivery Leadership team, supporting both Paramedic Emergency Service (PES) and Non-Emergency Patient Transport Services (PTS) across designated areas.
These are new roles created within the Service Delivery Team to contribute to service development, transformation, and business/resource planning aligned with the Trust's strategic objectives.
Working in collaboration with the Area-based leadership team, you will embed performance management into the area's culture, oversee business performance (activity and finance), intelligence, and service development.
The role involves working autonomously and as part of the wider service delivery team, with close collaboration with various corporate teams. There are three roles, each reporting to an Area Director, with successful candidates assigned to specific NWAS areas (GM or CAM).
Key responsibilities include supporting the Area Director in planning and managing workstreams, managing projects and deliverables, preparing reports, and supporting area plans. The post holder will also have line management responsibilities for rostering staff and possibly administrative teams.
Essential experience includes business management, finance, NHS governance, and project management. The role also involves working with the leadership team to review services, improve performance, and lead change initiatives. Developing shared objectives and fostering a culture of collaboration and staff empowerment are also key.
The ideal candidate will work confidently with minimal supervision.
