Overview

VANRATH are delighted to be assisting our major Public Sector client, a large and well-known organisation with the recruitment of a Business Support Assistant to join their team based in Antrim.

This is a Full-Time Monday-Friday position. Temporary contract expected to last for a minimum of 4 weeks.

Salary

£29,456 + fantastic benefits in a modern organisation e.g. Flexi time, free parking & excellent modern offices.

Responsibilities
  • Act as first point of contact for all waste-related queries (calls, in-person, online).
  • Handle complaints, process payments, assist with bulky waste requests.
  • Respond to emails, LiveChat, and social media queries from the public and stakeholders.
  • Liaise with contractors to ensure smooth waste collection services.
  • Keep social media updated with service changes.
  • Resolve customer issues directly and professionally.
  • Provide admin support to waste teams and managers.
  • Update databases, process invoices, and prepare reports.
  • Support fleet and recycling centre records and budgets.
  • Process customer payments and complete daily financial reports using systems like GOV Pay and Te-Leisure.
  • Help organise events (room bookings, catering, mail shots).
  • Take and prepare meeting minutes when required.
Essential Criteria
  • Minimum of 5 GCSE's including Maths and English.
  • A minimum of 2 years\' administrative or clerical experience including minute taking.
