Business Support Assistant - 12 Months FTC

Location: Bolton

The role of Business Support Assistant involves working in the Nomination team, creating and allocating files on the case management system, and receiving rejected files from internal legal teams. The successful candidate will be responsible for sending out relevant letters to all involved parties, making outgoing telephone calls to obtain further information, and receiving incoming telephone calls from clients and third parties.

The role also includes providing general administrative support, such as delivering files and paperwork, and closing down files for the fee-earning teams. The Business Support Assistant will also assist the New Instruction team when needed, downloading and combining incoming work via a central inbox or client portals.

Key Accountabilities
  • Ensuring that they always act in line with the Data Protection Act, SRA Code of Conduct 2011, and the Lexcel Manual.
  • Ensuring that they achieve their objectives and keep an accurate log of all work completed.
  • Working together to print a high volume of New Instruction emails within SLA’s.
  • Ensuring an accurate log is kept of all incoming work.
  • Securely logging into various client databases and portals to print all documents.
  • Assisting other functions within the Business Support Unit with administrative support, taking and making calls for information, closing files on the case management system, sorting and distributing post, and assisting reception.
Experience, Skills and Qualifications
  • 5 or more GCSE Grade A-C including Maths and English
  • Basic Outlook experience
  • Competent IT user
  • Must be able to demonstrate basic standards in numeracy and literacy
  • Ability to work as part of a team and on their own initiative
