This role involves arranging logistics for exports, managing paperwork, and assisting in data management. We are looking for an organised and detail-oriented Administration Assistant to join our Business Support Team in delivering key logistics and sales support to the Danish Crown UK business. As a Business Support Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting the day-to-day operations of our food manufacturing business. Your responsibilities will encompass a range of administrative and coordination tasks to ensure the smooth functioning of various business processes.
The successful candidate will be responsible for exports from GB to the EU from our Manchester site. This includes arranging logistics, assisting the VET on site when loading, issuing export declarations, and invoicing. The recruit would also be responsible for processing sales orders, producing weekly shipment plans for the sales team and customers.
The successful candidate will have proven experience working in a similar role, ideally within logistics or data entry, ability to work within a team and independently, with strong communication skills, and be a team player who can cope under pressure and multi-task.
Knowledge of SAP and customs export/import is preferable. Flexibility of time is required, with typical hours being 08:00 to 16:30 Monday to Thursday and 08:00 to 15:00 Friday, and some requirements to work weekends on rotation.
