Job Opportunity: Business Support Assistant

We are working closely alongside a Local Authority in Nottingham to assist with the appointment of a Business Support Assistant on a 2-month contract, likely to be extended at the client's discretion. Please apply with your CV for immediate consideration.

Rate of Pay: £13.47 - £17.43 per hour

Summary:
  • Support the delivery of the Transport Solutions team's objectives, supporting the Transport Solutions Officers and deputising as required.
  • Ensure procurement of services follows best value principles, complies with financial regulations, and monitors budgets.
  • Deliver a professional and reliable service to all clients through over 500 contract services carrying over 2000 passengers per day.
Responsibilities:
  • Support the delivery of a wide range of specialized transport services, including home-to-school, youth offending, CFCS, adult social care, and respite short breaks, providing solutions for internal and external clients.
  • Ensure compliance with national and county safeguarding and child protection measures.
  • Responsible for procurement and evaluation of best value ad-hoc transport for client departments.
  • Ensure all service users have a certified Transport Care Plan where required, through liaison with care professionals and schools.
Qualifications:
  • Good understanding of IT systems, including specialized technical systems.
  • NVQ Level 2 in business management or equivalent.
  • Responsible for the evaluation of Direct Travel Assistance Payments (DTAP) to parents and carers.
Additional Notes:
  • Availability to work immediately or at short notice.
  • Legal right to work in the UK.
