Job Title: Business Support Administrator

Location: Cumbria House, Carlisle

Salary: £27,711 to £28,624

Hours: 24

Contract: Permanent

About This Opportunity

Cumberland Council is looking to appoint a proactive and highly organised Business Support member of staff. In this office-based role you will provide essential administrative and operational support to ensure the smooth running of the business, relating to the Youth Justice Service within Children and Family Wellbeing Services.

We are looking for an experienced Administrator, who is confident in all aspects of administrative work, with attention to detail and organisational skills. The ideal candidate will have experience in dealing with the processes involved. You will be versatile and able to work under pressure and to strict deadlines.

Key Responsibilities

  • To provide efficient, effective, confidential administrative support to senior managers and Youth Justice team members
  • To cover duty telephone lines, communicating between members of the public and professionals.
  • Co-ordinate meetings / panels, prepare agendas and complete all related administrative tasks including minutes
  • Build relationships with internal and external stakeholders to ensure smooth communication
  • To be part of the wider Business Support Team, providing cover for leave and sickness
  • Ensure all systems and processes are maintained and developed to meet the performance needs of the service

This role is available on a permanent basis.
