We are seeking a highly skilled and dynamic individual for the full-time position of Business Support Administrator at The Redwoods Centre, Shrewsbury. The successful candidate will provide effective administrative support to the Pharmacy & Medicines Optimisation Senior Team.

Main duties of the job

The Post Holder will:

  1. Provide business support and general office management to ensure high-quality support to managers across the department, aligned with daily departmental operations.
  2. Supervise administrative and clerical staff, ensuring workflows are communicated and tasks are completed efficiently.
  3. Support departmental priorities and manage own workload accordingly.
  4. Ensure seamless service delivery by providing cross-site support at St George's Hospital, Haywood Hospital, and The Redwoods Centre.
  5. Participate in service and quality improvement initiatives, including audits, protocols, and guidelines.
  6. Assist in planning and organizing business support activities, including scheduling and facilitating meetings.

Job responsibilities

  • Supporting specific project management tasks.
  • Supervising administrative staff and supporting the Business Support Manager.
  • Delivering high-quality administrative services to the pharmacy department.
  • Assisting in project planning and monitoring.
Person Specification
  • NVQ Level 3 in a relevant subject or equivalent experience.
  • Knowledge of NHS systems.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Knowledge of terminology used in medicines optimisation and pharmacy.
