Devon Partnership NHS Trust is excited to announce a new opportunity within our newly created Community Eating Disorders Intensive Home Treatment Team (IHTT), based at Wonford House in Exeter.

This is a unique and impactful position for a Business Support Administrator who is ready to play a pivotal role in the development of this new team.

Main duties of the job

As the Business Support Administrator, you will be an integral part of the IHTT team, providing effective and efficient clerical and administrative support to the IHTT Consultant, medical staff, and the wider multidisciplinary team where applicable. Key duties may include;

Patient Contact: Communicating with patients, scheduling appointments, and managing other contact-related tasks to ensure the service runs efficiently.

Accurate Record-Keeping: Recording information on the Trust's patient record system (SystmOne), ensuring all patient data is up-to-date and accurate.

Diary Management & Room Bookings: Managing the diaries of medical staff, arranging appointments, meetings, and booking appropriate rooms for clinical activities.

This role is ideal for someone who:

Qualifications
  • RSA 3 Word Processing or equivalent level of experience in practice.
  • NVQ3 in administration or equivalent level administrative knowledge and experience
  • GCSE English or equivalent
  • ECDL (European Computer Driving Licence).
  • Shorthand or Speedwriting
Experience
  • Excellent organisational skills
  • Ability to prioritise workload and adapt to change when required
  • Previous experience of working within an administrative or secretarial team
  • Experience of dealing with confidential and complex information
  • Previous experience of working in a Healthcare or Social Care administrative setting
  • Ability to take accurate formal and informal minutes

Knowledge & Skills
  • Intermediate IT skills in Microsoft Office Packages, ie Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
  • Working knowledge of a range of administrative procedures including diary management and arranging appointments
  • Experience or understanding of creating electronic records, electronic filing systems, electronic data base management.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills both written and verbal
