Key Requirements:

  7. Understanding of data protection and GDPR requirements.

The purpose of the role is to provide efficient, accurate, and professional administrative support to the Education, Schools, and Inclusion teams. This includes meeting coordination, record management, customer service, general clerical tasks, and financial administration, ensuring compliance with GDPR and local authority procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Arrange and coordinate meetings, including room bookings, preparation of agendas, and accurate minute-taking.
  2. Provide day-to-day administrative support to staff and service users, maintaining smooth operations across the team.
  3. Maintain both manual and electronic records, ensuring information is accurate, up-to-date, and compliant with GDPR. This includes transferring data to national databases/statistical returns when required.
  4. Perform general clerical duties including photocopying, filing, word processing, document formatting, and handling mail.
  5. Offer a high standard of customer service, responding to queries from service users (including schools, parents, and carers), and directing them to the appropriate team members under the guidance of the line manager.
  6. Support financial processes such as raising purchase orders, processing invoices, and maintaining records in accordance with Local Authority financial regulations.
  7. Build and maintain strong working relationships within the immediate team, across the wider Education and Inclusion services, and with external stakeholders.
