  • It is based on the Sunshine Coast, and requires travel between the Sunshine Coast, Noosa, Gympie, and the Fraser Coast occasionally.

Business Development Representative – SumUp (QLD - South East QLD)

Contract – 12 Months,

continuation based on performance - we want you to succeed and join the SumUp Team.

Start Date : 7 March 2025

  • Generous annual base + superannuation (pro rata) + car allowance + bonus

About the Role :

As a SumUp Business Development Representative , you’ll engage directly with small to medium-sized businesses to promote and sell SumUp’s payment products and services within your allocated territory.

You’ll leverage a variety of lead sources including direct engagement, self-generated appointments, and referrals — winning new business and expanding the SumUp network. This is a fantastic opportunity with strong earning potential in a 12-month contract role (with a high likelihood of extension).

Key responsibilities include :

  • Creating, implementing, and executing growth strategies to acquire new customers
  • Sourcing new clients, including converting competitors’ clients to SumUp’s solutions
  • Researching market opportunities across micro, nano, and SME segments
  • Generating leads and managing incoming leads
  • Providing technical advice and tailored solutions to customers
  • Building and maintaining relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • Presenting product solutions and technical information to small groups
  • Managing tender opportunities efficiently and within deadlines

About You :

  • Demonstrated experience in business development or relationship management
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proven success in lead generation and sales (highly desirable)
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and management abilities
  • Resourceful and proactive, with solid research and prospecting skills
  • Confident working autonomously
  • Skilled in planning, presenting, and negotiating
  • Must hold a valid full Australian driver’s licence and have a reliable vehicle
