Job description

Job Description: Business Skills Coach

We are seeking a Business Skills Coach to join our friendly team and deliver high-quality training programs aimed at developing apprentices' knowledge, skills, and behaviors for Level 3 and 5 Leadership and Management qualifications.

Location: This role offers a hybrid working model, allowing remote work with occasional travel to customer sites and our Pearson office in central London. All travel expenses will be reimbursed, and candidates should be within easy commuting distance.

Core responsibilities include:

  1. Developing and delivering personalized learning programs for apprentices.
  2. Managing assessment, onboarding, and induction processes.
  3. Providing coaching, arranging visits, and supporting workplace skill development.
  4. Assessing apprentices, providing feedback, and utilizing e-portfolios effectively.
  5. Conducting assessments within set timeframes and monitoring progress.
  6. Using virtual learning environments to support learning.
  7. Delivering face-to-face and virtual coaching sessions.
  8. Tracking progress, conducting reviews, and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.
  9. Maintaining accurate records and supporting program development.
  10. Participating in CPD activities and supporting other qualifications as needed.

Candidate requirements:

  • Qualified trainer and assessor with experience in Level 3 and 5 Apprenticeships.
  • Industry experience in a senior management role.
  • Proficiency in managing learners and caseloads.
  • Effective use of technology to enhance delivery.
  • Demonstrated excellence in training/assessment, supported by OTLA and standardization observations.
  • Track record of achieving targets in a target-driven environment.
  • Excellent written communication skills.
  • Delivery experience of Level 5 Coaching Professional Apprenticeships is desirable but not essential.
  • Experience with Ofsted inspections and ESFA funding requirements is a plus but not essential.

This position is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974; an enhanced DBS check will be required.
