Job description

We are seeking a Business Skills Coach to join our friendly team and deliver high-quality training programs for our Apprentices on the Level 3 and 5 Leadership and Management Programme.

Your responsibilities will include completing Apprentice learning, assessments, reviews, and completions efficiently, aiming to exceed quality standards. You will support every aspect of the learner journey, from preparing for the Gateway to delivering professional feedback, ensuring apprentices achieve their standards and qualifications successfully.

Location: Hybrid working model with remote work and occasional travel to customer sites and our Pearson office in central London. Travel expenses are paid, and you should be within easy commute to London.

Core tasks and responsibilities:

  1. Develop and deliver personalized learning programs supporting apprentices’ knowledge, skills, and behaviors.
  2. Contribute to assessment, eligibility, onboarding, and induction processes.
  3. Provide coaching, arrange visits, and support workplace skills development.
  4. Assess apprentices, give constructive feedback, and manage e-portfolios.
  5. Conduct assessments within set timeframes to monitor progress and gather evidence.
  6. Utilize e-portfolios and virtual learning environments effectively.
  7. Deliver face-to-face and virtual classroom sessions.
  8. Track progress, conduct reviews, and ensure regulatory compliance.
  9. Maintain accurate records and support program development.
  10. Engage in CPD activities and support other qualifications as needed.

What we are looking for:

  • Qualified trainer and assessor with experience in Level 3 and 5 Apprenticeships.
  • Industry experience in senior management roles.
  • Effective learner management skills.
  • Proficiency with technology for service delivery.
  • Outstanding or good trainer/assessor record, evidenced by OTLA and standardization observations.
  • Target-driven with a successful track record.
  • Strong written skills for feedback and objectives.
  • Delivery experience of Level 5 Coaching Apprenticeships is desirable.
  • Experience with Ofsted inspections and ESFA funding is advantageous.

Note: This position is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974; an enhanced DBS disclosure is required.
