Job description

We are seeking a Business Skills Coach to join our friendly team, delivering high-quality training programmes to develop apprentices' knowledge, skills, and behaviours for their Level 3 and 5 Leadership and Management Programmes.

Your responsibilities include completing apprentice learning, assessments, reviews, and completions efficiently, aiming to exceed quality standards. You will support the entire learner journey, from preparing for the Gateway to providing professional feedback and guidance to ensure successful achievement of apprenticeship standards and qualifications.

Location: Hybrid working model with remote work and occasional travel to customer sites and our Pearson office in central London. Travel expenses will be paid, and you should be within easy commute of London.

Core tasks and responsibilities:

  1. Develop and deliver personalized learning programmes supporting apprentices.
  2. Contribute to assessment, onboarding, and induction processes.
  3. Provide coaching, arrange visits, and support workplace skill development.
  4. Assess apprentices, provide feedback, and manage e-portfolios.
  5. Conduct assessments and monitor progress within set timeframes.
  6. Utilize e-portfolios and virtual learning environments effectively.
  7. Deliver face-to-face and virtual classroom sessions.
  8. Track progress, conduct reviews, and ensure regulatory compliance.
  9. Maintain accurate records and support programme development.
  10. Engage in CPD activities and support other qualifications as needed.

What we are looking for:

  • Qualified trainer and assessor with experience in Level 3 and 5 Apprenticeships.
  • Industry experience in a senior management role.
  • Effective management of learners and caseloads.
  • Proficiency in using technology for service delivery.
  • Proven track record as a good or outstanding trainer/assessor.
  • Ability to work in a target-driven environment.
  • Excellent written skills for detailed feedback and objectives.
  • Delivery experience of Level 5 Coaching Professional Apprenticeships (desirable).
  • Experience with Ofsted inspections and ESFA funding (desirable).

This post is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974. An enhanced DBS disclosure will be required.
