Job summary

Armstrong Watson LLP in Manchester is recruiting a Business Services Senior to join our Manchester office and the wider Business Services Service Line. The role focuses on drafting financial statements, tax computations, VAT returns, and management accounts for clients.

You will work in a fast-paced, collaborative team, prioritise workloads, and contribute to building long-term client relationships while upholding high standards of professionalism and service.

Qualifications

• Full UK Driving Licence.
• AAT/ICAS/ACCA/ACA qualified or equivalent by experience.
• Experience in an accounting capacity at an Accountancy practice.
• Able to prioritise workloads and work under deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Draft financial statements for sole traders, partnerships and companies for review by a Business Services Assistant Manager / Manager.
• Draft business tax computations for review by a Business Services Assistant Manager / Manager.
• Prepare VAT returns, bookkeeping, and management accounts for clients.
• Assist with filing of financial statements and corporate tax returns.
• Raise appropriate queries for the Business Services Assistant Manager / Manager.
