Overview

An excellent opportunity for an experienced Accounts or Business Services Manager or Assistant Manager to join an ambitiously growing Independent Accountancy Practice.

The successful candidate will be ACA or ACCA qualified with proven Accounts experience gained at Managerial level with a well regarded Accountancy Practice.

Reporting to Partner and Director level and supervising the junior team responsibilities will include providing both statutory and management accounting services to a varied client portfolio.

Awareness and an understanding of Tax is also important although there is a separate Tax team dealing with complex and advisory Tax issues.

Responsibilities

• Overseeing and taking responsibility of a portfolio of clients to ensure compliance for tax and accounting purposes.
• Be the first point of contact for your clients, working closely with the designated Partner.
• Supervising team members and managing workflow through the office.
• Collaborative working with other departments within our group.
• Review of compliance work including year-end statutory accounts, VAT returns, management accounts and personal/company tax returns.
• Assisting clients with queries and advising clients where necessary.
• Assisting Partners with ad hoc projects.
