Business Sector Manager

The role's aim is to own the relationship with the named Vendors on behalf of Arrow ECS, including managing Business Managers, Business Development Managers, and Internal Product Specialists supporting the Vendor Portfolio sales.

Responsibilities:
  1. Vendor side
  2. Meet/exceed revenue and margin targets for products and services for new and renewal business for your assigned Vendor lines.
  3. Articulate Arrow ECS’s strategic objectives and how Vendors can benefit from that approach.
  4. Maximize fulfillment business opportunities.
  5. Negotiate favorable commercial terms with Vendors.
  6. Report on your Vendors, including forecasting and predictions.
Development:
  1. Work with your Vendor Partner Manager to plan and create a Vendor Business Development Plan to increase sales.
  2. Validate sales forecasts with each Vendor.
  3. Participate in the recruitment of new Vendors and Partners, including business proposals and onboarding.
Plan & Review:
  1. Understand Vendor’s business, strategy, and financials.
  2. Manage Soft Margin Programs and Vendor VADs.
  3. Conduct monthly business reviews with Vendors.
Relationships:
  1. Position Arrow ECS as a trusted adviser to Vendor decision-makers.
  2. Interface with all contact points within Vendors.
Arrow side responsibilities:
  1. Manage a team of Business Managers, supporting their performance and development.
  2. Set sales targets and monitor activities.
  3. Ensure effective communication and leverage Vendor and Partner relationships.
Team & Sales Support:
  1. Support team members to meet their revenue and margin targets.
  2. Assist in creating Vendor Business Development Plans.
Plan & Review:
  1. Conduct monthly reviews with team members.
  2. Provide management reports.
Relationships & Operations:
  1. Leverage Vendor offerings and sales organization structure.
  2. Ensure compliance with Vendor contracts and manage escalations.
