Job Title: Business Relationship Manager
Salary: Up to GBP55K
Location: Leicester LE1
Hours: Monday to Friday 8:45am-5pm

As part of their continued growth and expansion, they are looking for an experienced Business Development Manager to take strategic ownership of securing and growing corporate accounts, focusing on winning new business and nurturing existing client relationships, using a consultative and commercially driven approach.

Main duties and responsibilities of the Business Relationship Manager:

  • Proactively drive new business acquisition through outreach, networking, and leveraging industry knowledge
  • Manage and grow a portfolio of key clients with a focus on retention and upselling opportunities
  • Lead strategic client discussions, offering expert advice on energy solutions and utility services
  • Conduct Meter Operator and kVA reviews for all new clients
  • Oversee Data Collector appointments and ensure data integration with our energy platform
  • Collaborate with admin support to deliver seamless client onboarding, reporting, invoice validation, and supplier queries
  • Keep CRM up to date with all internal and external interactions
  • Ensure regular reporting to clients, demonstrating the value we deliver through savings and efficiency
  • Maintain compliance with internal and client quality measures

Experience/knowledge requirements for the Business Relationship Manager:

  • Has proven experience in energy sales, in a similar client-facing role
  • Is confident in developing new business and managing a personal sales pipeline
  • Has experience managing customer portfolios of 1GW or more
  • Demonstrates a professional and articulate telephone manner, with excellent communication skills
  • Thrives in a fast-paced, self-directed environment
  • Is commercially aware, client-focused, and enthusiastic about building long-term relationships
  • Brings experience in supplier management and coordination
  • Has a solid track record in client retention and relationship development
