Job description

We are looking for an enthusiastic and collaborative Business Pricing Manager to join our team.

The Business Pricing Manager is a recently introduced role within the organisation. The focus of the role is to create pricing strategies and models, provide proactive and practical guidance to help the business competitively price new and existing products and services, assess market opportunities, and monitor and evaluate performance. You will work closely with the newly created Commercial Product Team and all areas of the business including Sales, Operations, and Technical Teams. This role will actively contribute to the organisation's success in achieving its revenue goals.

Digital Catapult has a hybrid working model, with a minimum of two days a week in the office, depending on meetings, to build relationships and collaborate effectively.

WHAT YOU’LL DO (Duties)
  1. Work with the Commercial Product Team and other departments such as Sales, Marketing, and Finance to develop and maintain pricing strategies for products and services.
  2. Provide guidance on bid/tender pricing initiatives using commercial modelling.
  3. Use analysis to generate KPIs and key insights for senior management to support strategic decisions.
  4. Monitor pricing performance, identify issues or unusual trends, and recommend adjustments.
  5. Develop and benchmark pricing models against competitors.
  6. Apply knowledge of market trends, competitor pricing, and industry demand.
  7. Contribute to strategies that target untapped market segments and increase market share.
  8. Assess actual costs versus bid/tender prices to refine pricing methodologies and ensure optimal margins.
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR (Experience)
  • Degree in business, finance, economics, accounting, marketing, or equivalent experience and professional qualifications (e.g., CIMA, ACCA, CFA, CPP).
  • Experience in creating, developing, and implementing pricing strategies and models from scratch.
  • Strong data analysis skills with the ability to translate data into actionable insights.
  • Commercial awareness, especially in deep tech or technology innovation sectors.
  • Experience in consultancy or project-based industries, with exposure to public and private sectors preferred.
  • Proven stakeholder management, business modelling, and process improvement skills.
  • Collaborative, flexible, proactive, and enthusiastic team player.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
