Business & Performance Project Manager - New Business - INSIDE IR35 - Up to £50 per hour - STEVENAGE, ONSITE - 6 Months - BPSS, MUST BE ELIGIBLE FOR SC - SINGLE STAGE PROCESS

Yolk Recruitment is seeking a Business & Performance Project Manager for a large aerospace and defence company in Stevenage for an initial 6-month contract.

The Business & Performance (B&P) team handles project management activities, including defining, planning, directing, and delivering contracts and projects within the sector, meeting business targets through cost control, schedule management, and stakeholder engagement, including customers.

The Project Manager will oversee a mix of traditional project management for existing programs and support new business acquisition, with priority given to new business development when workload permits.

In the New Business area, responsibilities include:

  • Supporting proposal development for sales campaigns
  • Assessing requirements and proposing alternatives as needed
  • Managing cost base compilation, presenting results, and obtaining approval for project Cost Brochures during bidding within ASI
  • Supporting SBD with bidding and pricing approval processes
  • Managing applications for company funding, including pre-contract and R&D support
  • Ensuring compliance with export licensing requirements, including US ITAR and EAR regulations
  • Implementing controls for resource planning, schedules, work breakdown structures, and cost systems
  • Developing generic cost bases with ASI Strategy

Candidate Experience:

  • Degree qualified or equivalent, with over two years of project management experience, preferably in the defence sector
  • Experience in project management and bidding processes
  • Proficiency with project management tools and practices
  • Strong problem-solving, communication, and presentation skills
  • Effective team player with strong interpersonal skills
