Key role primarily supporting the Victorian Road Maintenance Contract - South Central Metropolitan Melbourne, (the VRMC).

We have an opportunity for a Business Performance Manager to join us to provide performance and contract management expertise within high profile projects under the Victorian Road Maintenance business and particularly the VRMC. This opportunity generally covers administration of contract and management of commercial risks through the contract delivery phase.

Key Responsibilities Include :

1. Engaging, onboarding, training, developing and retaining a high-performing team for effective execution of all B&P functions.
2. Establishing and maintaining all financial, IT and data management systems, procedures and processes, including administering all aspects of document control, legal compliance, insurance, taxation and banking.
3. Developing and implementing quality, safety and environmental management systems and assurance programs, ensuring hazard and risk identification processes and mitigation measures are implemented in accordance with the Service Stream HSEQMS and the requirements of ISO 31000 : 2009.
4. Facilitating procurement of materials, equipment and subcontracted services.
5. Coordinating and driving performance and continual improvement and responsibility for all KPI performance reporting and quality monitoring and reporting activities.
6. Fostering a culture of continuous improvement, developing and implementing strategies to improve client and Service Stream outcomes.

About You

Our ideal candidate will have :

1. At least five (5) years’ experience in senior leadership roles focused on commercial, financial and compliance management for long-term maintenance and capital / project works programs with annual budgets > 30 million, in directly relevant industries such as civil engineering, road network management, resources or heavy manufacturing.
2. Detailed knowledge of civil construction and / or road network management practices, including access, permit and licensing requirements for road maintenance operations.
3. A track record in creating and establishing high performance cultures including setting, achieving and exceeding performance standards and KPIs.
4. A drive for service excellence underpinned by strong communication, presentation and stakeholder management skills developed in an environment subject to daily government and public scrutiny.
5. Sound knowledge of financial and asset management / works information system interfaces.
6. A track record of fostering workforce diversity and engaging local organisations, including social enterprises and Aboriginal Businesses, to deliver services.
