Job Description

One of my local government clients is currently recruiting an experienced Business Operations Team Manager on a temporary basis. This is a 3-month minimum contract with the possibility of extension. The role is Monday to Friday, 9:00am to 5:00pm. It is a hybrid working role; however, you will be required to attend the office 2-3 times a week.

Overview: Business operations team managers are responsible for ensuring the smooth running of business operations support across Children and Family services. This includes working collaboratively with management colleagues to create and implement support procedures aligned with team duties.

The Team Manager will provide key performance information quarterly to show how volume drives staff capacity adjustments, promoting a more agile approach to ensure duties are covered. The Business Operations Team Manager will set an example for staff to deliver the standard of performance that Enfield expects by undertaking, reviewing, and coaching staff on tasks.

Responsibilities:

  1. Manage the Business Operations team to ensure tasks are completed to high standards, especially during high-volume periods across different service areas.
  2. Provide visible leadership across services, monitoring performance, quality, and satisfaction to ensure statutory timescales are met.
  3. Manage workflow and scheduling to ensure fair distribution of work, fully utilizing all team members to develop their potential and productivity.
  4. Contribute to the development of service plans to meet strategic business goals.
  5. Collect, process, and analyze information/data; translate outputs into advisory reports, documents, or actions, and send monthly Key Performance reports to the Service Manager.
  6. Lead the development, implementation, maintenance, and management of systems, policies, procedures, and standards within your area of responsibility.
  7. Collaborate with others to support and manage process and procedure improvements across services.
