Business Operations Project Manager, Newcastle upon Tyne

This role is for a project manager with a proven track record of solving complex, cross-functional business challenges to join our team.

The candidate will execute projects set by the Medium Segment governance committee, following strategies established by the Business Operations leader. Ideal candidates have experience in the SaaS industry, are innovative problem-solvers, and can lead large, remote teams across different time zones.

Role Responsibilities

  1. Collaborate with stakeholders to identify needs, define outcomes, and align cross-functional teams on operational, marketing, and business plans.
  2. Lead cross-functional groups (sales, service, marketing, product, content, finance, legal, BI/Ops) to evaluate ideas, advance workstreams, meet deadlines, and ensure alignment.
  3. Create and present executive communications on key initiatives.
  4. Ensure timely and strategic delivery of business operations plans through effective communication and execution.
  5. Manage quality of messaging and positioning, addressing scope issues to ensure smooth market entry.
  6. Develop and execute project plans aligned with business strategies, adapting as needed.
  7. Build strong relationships and influence across the organization as a collaborative partner.

Requirements

  • 3+ years' experience in project, product, or commercialization management, or related fields.
  • Strong project management skills with team facilitation abilities.
  • Strategic thinker comfortable with discovery, rapid testing, and challenging ideas.
  • Ability to independently evaluate complex problems and implement solutions.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, tactful in challenging conversations.
  • Task-oriented with proactive prioritization skills.
  • Results-focused, keeping goals in mind.
  • Effective at gaining alignment and driving action through communication and influence.
  • Exceptional organization, time management, and presentation skills.

Additional Qualifications

  • Experience with product commercialization and go-to-market strategies, especially in ERP verticals.
  • Ability to support M&A integration activities and product GTM work.
  • Comfort with hybrid methodologies between Waterfall and Agile.
  • Proficiency with basic tools like Excel and PowerPoint, with limited need for extensive tool training.
  • Experience building initiatives from ground up, working in matrixed environments, with risk mitigation and pivoting skills.
