Job description

This role is open to Leeds University employees only.

This role will be based on the University campus, with scope for it to be undertaken in a hybrid manner. We are also open to discussing flexible working arrangements.

Do you have experience working within a fast-paced administrative environment? Are you an enthusiastic, motivated individual with excellent administrative and organisational skills? Would you like to play a pivotal role supporting the delivery of high-quality research and student education activities?

We are looking to appoint a dedicated and motivated Business Operations Officer to support the School of Healthcare. You will join the team to provide high-quality administrative support to the School’s processes in recruitment, purchasing, HR, and health and safety. This role will focus on supporting senior staff and ensuring HR queries and processes are managed correctly.

You will also be responsible for managing the School’s IT databases, including updating Teams and SharePoint sites, raising IT issues, and being the point of contact for IT projects. Additionally, you will organise and book complex UK and overseas travel and accommodation plans, supporting trips with equipment, itineraries, and visas.

You will collaborate with colleagues within the Business Operations Teams and from Professional Services across the School and Faculty, including HR, Purchasing, and Finance Offices, to adopt and embed a continuous improvement and service excellence approach. This involves establishing and developing best practice processes and procedures and working to ensure these are implemented through Faculty peer networks. Handling confidential information discreetly and securely is essential.
