Job Title: Business Operations Manager (12 Month Contract), Henham

Company Overview:

Founded in 1977, Planteria has grown from a small startup into the UK's largest interior landscaping company, with an annual turnover of £20 million. We focus on strategic partnerships, innovation, and client satisfaction, employing over 150 staff. Our services include interior planting solutions, corporate floristry, and project work such as roof gardens and living walls.

Opportunity:

We are seeking a proactive Business Operations Manager to oversee our Christmas season operations. You will be responsible for delivering the seasonal sales targets, managing a small team, and coordinating with a nationwide network of subcontractors for order fulfillment. Post-season, you'll review subcontractor performance, pricing, and service levels.

Location & Hours:

The role is a 12-month fixed-term, full-time position (40 hours/week) based at our HQ in Henham (CM22 6AA). The location offers a rural setting with onsite lunch and ample parking. Hybrid working is available, allowing 1 day remote work per week where possible.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Lead a small team to ensure customer focus and order fulfillment
  2. Manage existing and new subcontractors
  3. Provide quotes for bespoke orders via our online portal
  4. Oversee online order processing and allocation to subcontractors
  5. Monitor daily sales and implement measures to meet targets
  6. Plan capacity for subcontractors and track capacity limits
  7. Provide limited phone coverage during delivery and collection periods
Requirements:

We welcome applications from candidates with experience in facilities management, contractor management, supply chain, order fulfillment, logistics, or inventory management.

  • Proven experience managing third-party suppliers and ensuring outstanding customer service
  • Strong Excel and related technology skills
  • Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines, and handle strict timescales
  • Excellent problem-solving and attention to detail
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Positive attitude and adaptability to change
  • Ability to prioritize workload and maintain high accuracy
  • Ability to build and maintain long-term relationships
  • Commercial awareness to support sales goals
  • Strong team management skills with a focus on teamwork
