Business Objects Report Developer

London

Hybrid: onsite, 1x/2x a week

Duration: 3 month contract

We are seeking an experienced Business Objects Report Developer to join our team on a 3 month contract . The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of SAP BusinessObjects , experience working in higher education (HE) environments, and expertise with student management systems . If you excel at transforming data into actionable insights, collaborating with stakeholders, and thrive in Agile environments, we'd love to hear from you.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and develop data visualisations and reports using SAP BusinessObjects BI platform.
• Create and manage universes (UDT/IDT) for reporting purposes.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical designs .
• Conduct unit testing and support user acceptance testing (UAT) by writing detailed test plans.
• Utilise both relational databases (Oracle) and NoSQL databases to support data reporting needs.
• Work within Agile/Scrum teams , contributing to user stories and refining project requirements.
• Apply best practices in software engineering , including code reviews, version control , and testing.

Key Requirements:

• In-depth expertise in SAP BusinessObjects and experience in the higher education sector (Essential).
• Familiarity with student management systems (Essential).
• Strong knowledge of Oracle and NoSQL databases (Essential).
• Excellent problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Familiarity with Snowflake data models and BOBI infrastructure (Desirable).
• Understanding of ITIL processes , including change and release management (Desirable).
• Location : Hybrid - Min. 1-2 days on-site Kings Cross, London .
• IR35 Status : Inside IR35.
• Start Date : ASAP, with interviews commencing immediately.
