Job description

The Business Manager HR & OD will be key to supporting the day-to-day operations covering HR, Organisational Development, resource planning, performance reporting, and SLAs. They will contribute to service development activities and projects.

The post holder will represent the service at internal and external meetings and establish relationships with stakeholders across the NHS community and beyond.

Responsibilities include managing specific projects and leading central functions within the service. The Business Manager will support operational managers by facilitating and monitoring HR and OD work streams across multiple sites, supporting service development, and linking with colleagues across MIAA and the Trust on larger projects.

The role requires knowledge of HR and operational processes to assist staff, senior managers, and stakeholders in delivering MIAA's strategy aligned with the NHS People plan pillars:

Key duties include creating and maintaining databases, assisting in strategic HR planning, developing processes and procedures, ensuring performance standards, participating in external discussions, delivering HR and OD projects, line managing junior managers, overseeing budgets, and supporting service improvement initiatives.

Additional responsibilities involve supporting the development of the annual Business Plan, developing business cases, resource management, contract management, and performance reporting to the Management Board.
